This shoot felt like freedom. I’d wanted to work with Mariama for years, and finally making it happen was pure joy. It was part of a last-minute trip to LA, a trip I took because I realized I was forgetting how to play.
No team. Only passion, sun, ocean, and the energy that reminds you why you even started in the first place. For two years I’d been carrying blocks, stress, weight. But this trip cracked all of that open. Shooting Mariama on the coast felt like being set free, like remembering that creating can be fun again.
